You can trade stock tokens that have been listed on the MGBX spot market trading platform. This article introduces the basic process from finding a trading pair to completing a purchase. The product arrangements for stock tokens differ from traditional brokerage stock trading. Please read the corresponding asset description before buying.
I. Preparation Before Purchase
• Log in to your MGBX account and complete the necessary verification as required on the page.
• Prepare the quote asset required for the trading pair in your spot account. Taking「Stock Token/USDT」as an example, you need available USDT to buy.
• Read the project introduction, listing announcement, and trading rules for the corresponding token, and confirm the token's full name, ticker, and underlying asset.
Tokens with similar names may come from different issuance arrangements. The ticker of a stock token may also differ from the corresponding stock ticker. Do not place orders based solely on the company name or a familiar abbreviation.
II. Find the Stock Token Trading Pair
- On the App and Web, go to「Tradfi」—「Tokens」—「Stocks」; on the App, go to「Trade」—「Spot」; on the Web, go to「Spot」.
- Click the trading pair name and use the search function to find the target stock token.
- Select the corresponding spot trading pair and check the asset introduction and current trading status.
Please confirm that you are in the spot market. Stock-related perpetual futures are a separate product category, and their margin, leverage, and funding fee rules differ from those of spot stock tokens.
III. Submit a Buy Order
Using a Limit Order
- On the trading page, select「Buy」—「Limit Order」.
- Enter the price and quantity you plan to buy, and check the order amount.
- Confirm the token name, trading direction, and available balance, then submit the buy order.
A limit buy will only be executed at the set price or lower. If market conditions are not met or there is insufficient counterparty quantity, the order may remain unfilled or only partially filled.
Using a Market Order
If the corresponding trading pair offers market orders, you can select「Market Order」and submit after entering the amount or quantity as required on the page. Market orders are matched against the available order book, and the average execution price may differ from the latest price, especially during periods of lower liquidity.
IV. Confirm Execution and Manage Positions
After placing an order, confirm the order status in current orders, order history, and trade records. Only the filled portion will be credited to your assets; for unfilled orders, you can cancel the remaining portion.
You can view the tokens you have bought in your spot account. When you need to sell, go to the same spot trading pair, select「Sell」, enter the price and quantity, or use the market order supported on the page, and receive the corresponding quote asset after execution.
V. What Should You Know Before Buying?
• Holding stock tokens should not be directly regarded as holding the underlying stock through a broker; the relevant rights must be checked in the specific product documents.
• Trading sessions, minimum order size, fees, and support for deposits, withdrawals, or redemptions are subject to the asset page and official announcements.
• Closure of the underlying market, major news, or changes in liquidity may cause the token to deviate from the reference price.
• If you cannot find the target token through search, first verify the exact ticker and listing status, and do not substitute it with another asset with a similar name.
This article only introduces the operating method. Please decide whether to trade based on your own risk tolerance after understanding the product structure and price risks.
